Late Night Paper Cuts

It begins again…

Late Night Paper Cuts was born the moment I cut my first character free from the page it was drawn on. A literal description that captures so much of what the show is all about. Breaking free from the shackles of societal conditioning. Questioning everything. How many convicts in a prison will tell you they’re really innocent? Don’t ever just take someone’s word on something. Trust but verify. Critical thinking. A lens to highlight the insanity of the so called sane.

Season one was the birth of a leviathan. Season two is where the monster learns to swim. Like most people I experienced a time where life was inside out and upside down. It made it more than a little difficult for me to focus on feeding the creative beasts inside. I just needed to survive.

Now that the mental wounds are scarring over I have been able to once again capture objects of value from the expeditions through my imagination. My dreams have returned to their vivid absurdities. I experience entire vacations in a sleep. The song “Veronica” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers scored a wild double-decker bus ride through a tunnel showing the most incredible fluorescent light show. And in my most recent dream I was on the run hiding in the backseat of a car as pillow shaped anthropomorphic experimented on animals acted in a hostile takeover of a city. Honestly, pretty par for the course when I’m in slumberland.

Let the flood gates open I say. Life is short and it’s no fun being ordinary. A new episode of Late Night Paper Cuts is finally done. Season two has been a long journey. I have a complicated relationship with various parts of the production, but I was finally able to work through it. There’s only two episodes left for this season. We shall see when they happen. In the meantime brace yourself. Next month a new episode drops in a long overdue debut. It’s the best work we have put forth thus far. We really truly hope you enjoy it.

Rock and roll!
